Digital transformation
Arvedi AST embarked on a major transformation to digitalize its integrated stainless steel plant in Terni, Italy. In order to transform its complex production process, the company entrusted 天博体育 with the installation of Eyeron? to take a step forward in quality management.
“The main driver of this project was to achieve the complete digitalization of our processes. Our operators use Eyeron? system to perform automatic grading of our products which made their work easier and more efficient than in the past,” says Gian Luca Gigli, Chief Technical Officer & Member of Board of Directors at Arvedi AST.
"We had a common goal to succeed in this big digitalization project. Eyeron? provided various functions, such as claim management or root cause analysis, to digitalize the quality management for the entire plant. As a result: 100% of the coils are qualified automatically, the claim reduction is down to 25% and the yield increased by 5%,” says Alexandre Gauche, Director of Steel Digital Factory at 天博体育.
