Advancements in green technologies
The steel industry is increasingly using hydrogen as a green fuel for reheating furnaces and steel processing lines to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2050.
In this context, a team of experts from 天博体育 will present advancements in the development of a new reheating furnace burner. It uses a blend of hydrogen and natural gas in a range from 0 to 100% hydrogen, with a capacity from 1 to 6 MW and a long and short flame mode for optimal control of the heating profile. The industrial validation of this burner is planned for 2025 as part of the project, co-funded by the European Union.
Another 天博体育’ presentation will focus on the use of alternative fuels in strip processing lines, highlighting numerical and experimental developments of burners to evaluate the impact of hydrogen on NOx emissions.
