Tech seminar “Modelling for increased steel quality and productivity”
The regular exchange between research institutes, engineering companies and steel producers are essential to meet customers’ requirements which are becoming more and more specific. The hot spot of the discussion is the risk of skilled personnel availability to run production lines for high value-added products. The consentient opinion is production automation. A complete automatic control of the steel production lines or constant checking of the experimental measurements of the line using predictive models throughout the coils has been defined as an ultimate goal for industrial companies.
